So, it looks like job security is in my grasp. Today, I worked 9 to 5 at Glastonbury doing some AV setup work. They were really surprised at how well I knew my stuff, and that I pretty much setup the whole gig. I also got to work with a friend of mine there (Marc), so it made things completely easier.
Then after all that work, I returned a call from the Naval Postgraduate School. They are looking for an event planner, as well as an assistant to some other support (trip booking, minor finances, etc). I asked them a couple questions regarding the job because it seemed a bit vague to me originally (and that I gave them my resume almost a year ago). So I have an interview with them on Tuesday to see how things are. I'll have to bust out my nice outfits and everything.
Another thing that I've possibly discovered is a way to have my red hair streak and still attain "professional standards," for my job. Many of you know I have black hair with a streak in it (suppose to be red). Instead of using red temp spray to make it red, I'm deciding to do the red streak in semi-permanent and bleaching etc, then when I work using black spray to cover it up. Hopefully I'll be able to pull this off so I dont have to wind up pulling Dennis Rodmans.
